Kobe Bryant Rookie (PSA 9) 1996 Topps Chrome MINT #138.
This is the most popular rookie card of the most devastating offensive and defensive machine since Michael Jordan. Kobe Bryant was seemingly destined for greatness. As the first guard to ever be drafted straight out of high school, Bryant matured quickly in the NBA. From his high-flying dunks to his long distance bombs from all over the court, opposing players cringe at the thought of being asked to defend this guy. Along with Shaquille O’Neal and with a few years under his belt, Bryant helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to three consecutive NBA titles from 2000-2002. Bryant has also been named to the All-Star team 18 times and was the back-to-back NBA scoring champion in 2006-2007, which included a career-high scoring average of 35.4 in 2006. Considered to be, perhaps, one of the best all-around player in the game, Bryant has also been named to 12 All-Defensive Teams as either a 1st or 2nd Team selection. This high-gloss, chrome card is very susceptible to surface scratching and wear, making this PSA 9 graded card more valuable.
